RPG Maker MZ String Variables Plugin

Introducing String Vtariables For RPG Maker MZ!! 

Rpg Maker has always been missing a couple data types one main useful one is string variables. String Variables for those who don't know are simply words, such as the actors name or an npc's name. We can get around this using complex JS snippets but that only lets you, the developer create and reference them, but this plugin allows your players to name things such as naming an npcs son (as witnessed in the attached video) 

You can name shops, pets, npcs, locations whatever your brain can conjure up! This is simple to use, plug and play. To use the plugin simply call the plugin command, select the variable to store the string and the input window will appear. This adds a new layer to your rpg maker games. 

[Planned Updates] 

The plugin is complete, I have updated the logic to prevent the player from moving while the input window is open. As you can see this change was added after I recorded the video so don't worry your player will not be able to move while the window is open. I have also added in some logic to prevent the event from running the commands after the input window until the input is complete, but as a precaution as seen in the video it is recommended to place a self switch with the rest of the logic on the second page.
